Ramadan Calendar 2024

Al salam alaykum wa rahmatu Allah wa Barakatuh.
All praise is due to Allah, as we are blessed to witness another Ramadan this year. May Allah make it a month of blessings and relief for the Ummah and Muslims around the globe.
Ramadan will commence on Monday, 11th March. Isha and Taraweeh prayers will begin this evening. Below, you will find the Ramadan calendar with timings for the holy month, specifically tailored for the city of Riga.
Please note that it is the responsibility of each Muslim to determine the accurate Prayer and Fasting timings (Meeqaat) for their location. Be mindful of time differences between cities and the methods used for calculating prayer times in various prayer time phone applications.
This calendar has been crafted considering the geographical location, using Riga as the reference point, and follows the calculation method of the Islamic Society of North America. The calculation parameters are set at 15 degrees for Fajr and Isha times, as per the IslamicFinder website.
For those outside of Riga, you can visit the Islamic Finder website and adjust the calculation method to the one recommended for timing in Latvia. Typically, we use 15 degrees for Fajr and Isha during winter, and 12 degrees during summer times.
The adopted method is consistent with previous years and aligns with the timing of Sunrise and Sunset in Latvia. Please note that Isha time within the mosque may vary from this calendar to allow flexibility with the prayer times in the Masjid.
